Submitting Your Poem To The Sciku Project

Anyone and everyone is welcome to submit to The Sciku Project – join us and share the joy!

  • The Sciku Project takes a flexible approach to most traditional haiku rules, although the majority of poems published have followed the ‘traditional’ 17 syllables (5-7-5) structure.
  • Include a brief explanation of the research or knowledge behind your sciku. Generally this should describe the background and then explain any new findings. Prompts you could consider include: What is it? What has been found/identified/confirmed? Why does it matter? What is new to you? What do you think of it?
  • Please provide at least one link to the original source – research finding, news article, etc. – to allow readers to find out more for themselves.
  • Provide a brief bio of no more than 50 words, and if you’d like to then provide links to your own website or social media profiles.
  • The Sciku Project cannot pay for your contributions. The Sciku Project is a non-profit website and does not earn any money from publishing poetry. The Sciku Project has a Ko-fi account (here) accepting donations to contribute towards the maintenance of the site (domain registration, hosting, etc.).
  • All authors retain the copyright for their own work.
  • All submitted poems should be original to the author.
